Asia Cup 2016 Bangladesh vs Pakistan Live cricket, Asia Cup 2016 Bangladesh vs Pakistan Live cricket.Tillakaratne Dilshan led the entertainment pack after Pakistan won the toss and sent the opposition in. He was the star of the show, carrying the bat and making 75 not out off 56 balls. The 39-year-old was finally in his element, countering the dangerous Mohammad Amir with aplomb. Not that he tried something out of the box against the Pakistan quick.
Dilshan mostly stayed on the front foot – even the pull shot he played to the deep square leg fence was off the front foot – and looked for the scoring opportunities. It put Amir under pressure, which resulted in a terrific contest between bat and ball. It was Dilshan’s approach that stood out. He scored 23 runs off the 17 deliveries he faced from Amir and always showed positive intent. So far, the batsmen’s treatment – save Virat Kohli – to the left-arm fast bowler had bordered on reverential. Dilshan changed that, just ahead of the World T20, and the Sri Lankan team management would be happy.Pakistan made three changes, bringing in Wahab Riaz, Iftikar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz in place of Mohammad Sami, Khurram Manzoor and Anwar Ali from the team that lost to Bangladesh and crashed out of the tournament.

Earlier, Tillakaratne Dilshan’s return to form was the gain for Sri Lanka which scored 150 for four after being asked to bat.
Dilshan enthralled a sparse gathering with a fine knock that revived images of his batting ability. Dilshan gave the Sri Lankan batting stability, by remaining unbeaten on 75 (56 balls). Sri Lanka tried its third captain in the tournament, resting Angelo Mathews, who had stood in for Lasith Malinga, and giving the mantle to Dinesh Chandimal.Though not specialists, these players would make useful contributions whenever the team required of them. But Pakistan still lacked a wicketkeeper who could play solely as a batsman in the team. Around the same time, a trend of sorts was observed with the other major teams as they all had wicketkeepers who were very good — on some occasions, best — batsmen of their sides. Adam Gilchrist for Australia, Kumar Sangakkara for Sri Lanka, MS Dhoni for India, AB de Villiers for South Africa and Brendon McCullum for New Zealand played the said role to perfection.
