Two bookies arrested for taking bets on Asia Cup

Two bookies captured for undertaking Asia Cup.ahmedabad: The city police on Wednesday captured two persons for tolerating wagers on the Sri Lanka-Pakistan cricket match of the continuous Asia Cup."two bookies, Bharat Thakkar and Prakash Thakkar, were captured from Sola and Bopal ranges of the city individually," said police examiner M A Patel.

"We have seized 17 cellphones, two laptops, a LCD television, an Ertiga auto and a motorbike from them, worth what added up to Rs 10 lakh," he said. We have structured a group to grab him," he said.the two were busy under the Counteractive action of Betting Act and police might look for a 10-day remand for their session from the court.
