They have done the bulk of the job, the lower order batsmen just go and do what is needed after that. It's looking very good now, we are on track for the World T20," Dhoni said at the post match presentation.

Dhoni said paceman Jasprit Bumrah and young all-rounder Hardik Pandya are making the side formidable.Jasprit, the beauty is that he can bowl yorkers, if you don't have the yorker you have to try a lot of other deliveries, his slightly different action also helps him a bit. Hardik can bowl a few overs for us, so if he can give us four in T20s, with his batting and fielding he is a great package," he said.Dhoni also praised Yuvraj Singh for adjusting well to his changed batting position.

"Looking at this team it is tough to give Yuvi the no.4 slot, but he has adjusted. We have 13-14 players they are all match-winners, that is the beauty of the side, everyone is taking responsibility to finishing the game."Australia chased down South Africa’s 204 to level the three-match T20 series 1-1 in Johannesburg on Sunday. But irrespective of which side wins Wednesday’s series decider in Cape Town, it will not be enough to dislodge India from the top, thus ensuring India will enter the World T20 as the number-one ranked side.
India, who won the inaugural event in South Africa in 2007 and finished runners-up in Bangladesh two years ago, are on 127 points, nine clear of 2012 winner West Indies and South Africa, who are on equal points (118).Chasing a lowly total of 83 against Pakistan, India’s batsmen did wobble, but the total was always too small to cause major anxiety. Against Bangladesh in the opener, the initial string of wickets did cause a flutter, but their bowlers could not quite deliver the finishing moves. A dropped catch of Rohit Sharma, who went on to score 83, by Shakib Al Hasan was a lucky break on which India rode to their first win in the tournament.

India clinched the Asia Cup trophy after beating hosts Bangladesh by eight wickets in Mirpur on Sunday and strengthened their reputation as a favourite for the upcoming ICC World T20. Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s lack of fight made the Asia Cup an underwhelming affair. India and Bangladesh were the only two sides who looked to be competing. While Sri Lanka’s injury issues forced them to lay low, Pakistan’s internal friction once again appeared to have left the team overwhelmed.
For India, the return of Virat Kohli from a break worked well for the side, as the in-form batsman was a calming presence in the batting-order. His knocks against Pakistan, Sri Lanka and against Bangladesh in the final on Sunday, were vital and gave the batting line-up a solidity that none in the opposition could break. The series also saw Yuvraj Singh finally hitting some form and helping India check a final box that had been left blank since his inclusion in the World T20 squad. In hindsight, India were not presented with a major challenge by any of the two teams. Barring a few early wickets, and the tension leading from that, India were never on the ropes.

If you do, he will walk out with a swagger, chest puffed up, eyes blazing, a smirk curving his lips — like a proud gladiator challenged to a battle — and destroy you with two swings of his bat.No sword, no gun. Yet, Dhoni will mercilessly demolish the hubris of a cricketing nation, silence its prayers, demolish its hopes and teach a lesson to its Twitter trolls. With just two shots. Bang, bang, good night, man!
On Sunday night, just before the Indian team walked out to bowl in a game marred by rain, Ravi Shastri got his boys into a huddle. "Remember their celebration after they (Bangladesh) won the series. Now go out and do the bloody job," Shastri told them.MIRPUR: As India lifted the Asia Cup trophy without losing a single match in the tournament, skipper MS Dhoni said they were well on track for the World Twenty20, beginning in two days time.India were dominant in their win against Bangladesh in the final, chasing 121 with eight wickets in hand and seven balls to spare.

The protagonists of India’s success throughout the tournament kept changing, though Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma stood out with the bat, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya with the ball. It was not all about the younger players though; the three most seasoned campaigners for India did not do too badly either. Bangladesh had limped to just 64 for 3 in the 10th over. Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir then tried to twirl their bats but a mixture of good fielding and poor running resutled in Mushfiqur being run out for 4. Mushfiqur put in a good dive and made his ground, but failed to ground his bat. He was run out with the bat over the iine but in the air. Mashrafe Mortaza promoted himself to bat ahead of the in-form Mahmudullah. If he hoped that emulating MS Dhoni in the 2011 World Cup would have a positive effect on the innings, he was proven wrong off his first ball. Mortaza tried to hit Jadeja over the fielder but only ended up holing out to Virat Kohli in the deep.
That was when Mahmudullah came in and played a game-changing innings. He got braces off each of his first two overs before finding the boundary. He then carted Hardik Pandya for two sixes and a four in his next over. It took a typically skilful final over from Bumrah to keep a rampaging Mahmudullah in check as Bangladesh finished 120 for 5.
Brief scores:
Bangladesh 120 for 5 in 15 overs (Sabbir Rahman 32*, Mahmudullah 33*; Jasprit Bumrah 1 for 13, Ravichandran Aswhin 1 for 14) vs India.
